Acknowledging Women in Industry

The Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities (AMEU) is an association of municipal electricity distributors as well as national, parastatal, commercial, academic and other organisations that have a direct interest in the electricity supply industry in Southern Africa. It aims to promote quality of service and management excellence in its memberships as well as provide an advisory service to its members and the customers of its members.

AMEU Women in Electricity Launch

The Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities (AMEU) held a pre-launch for Women in Electricity (WIE) on the 3rd August 2015 at the Durban International Convention Centre, a new initiative aimed at women becoming a critical mass in the electricity generation and distribution sector. This initiative will be formally launched at the AMEU annual conference in October 2015.

Electrification Funding Allocations for 2015/16

It is reported that, as at 16 February 2015, `2015/16 Dora allocations (for electrification funding) are not confirmed’. This comes via an email communication for DoE representatives). Previously, it was advised that there would be dramatic changes in the allocations for 2014/15 for INEP Nationally.
